This will necessitate, amongst others a good understanding of engineering science fundamentals, systems perspective and importance of team work.
B.Tech is a four-year programme, spread over eight-semesters. The programme comprises of various core and elective subjects interspersed with summer trainings. A distinctive feature will be Project work in relevant field in industry/academic or government organization to get real life experiences. All the semesters are a blend of intense classroom learning and hands learning in laboratories.
The first year of the programme is foundation courses in core engineering subjects with blend of Humanities and Applied Sciences. Third Semester onwards , students undergo advanced studies and enhance their skills in the relevant branch.
Live Projects
Working on live and time-bound projects gives the student first-hand experience of the corporate culture. The process also helps them develop professional attitude, sense of responsibility, analytical ability and leadership qualities as required by the Industry.
Skill Enhancement Programme
We at CBS, inculcate qualities like commitment, team spirit, strategic thinking and smart work not just hard work. To enhance such skills in them, the CBS organizes PDP sessions, mock sessions, workshops that help build a healthier behaviour both in verbal and non-verbal forms such as mannerism, style, dressing up, social etiquettes etc.
Summer Internship
The students are required to undergo summer internship for a period of six to eight weeks with reputed companies. This enables them to understand theoretical concepts learned at CBS in a real-life corporate context. It also helps the Industry in assessing the students’ performance and potential.
Performance Evaluation
Performance of the students is evaluated, regularly on the basis of Classroom Participation, Assignments, Case-Studies, Project Report, Presentation, Mid-Term Examinations and Semester-end Examinations.
Admission shall be made on the basis of merit obtained by the student in All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE). / Admission is carried out through CET of HTU for Haryana Domiciles and through AIEEE for students belonging to other states. While 25% seats in each discipline are reserved for Management Quota. Admissions to all seats are made on the basis of merit of CET/AIEEE/10+2 marks.
Admission to the institute will be governed by rules to be formulated by the admission committee of CBS Group of Institutions.
Eligibility Criteria
Students seeking admission in B. Tech courses should have passed class XII from CBSE or any other equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following -- (chemistry/biotechnology/biology)
