It is a professional education certificate programme on Finance that can be pursued during post graduation or after post graduation. The CFM Programme focuses on the basic concepts, principles, and techniques of finance which have been applied with a reasonable degree of success in the real world. It is not meant to explore advanced theories and techniques which are covered in highly specialised or advanced programmes. If you are interested in advanced studies you are advised to go for an intensive graduate or doctoral programme at leading institutions in India or abroad. Objectives:
Designed to enhance the capabilities of finance professionals this programme seeks to:
Impart a sound understanding of the key principles of financial economics.
Develop skills in applying improved methods of financial analysis.
Discuss the state-of-the-art professional practices.
Almost everything in business eventually boils down to the rupee sign. Hence, irrespective of what your primary area of work is, you need a basic grounding in finance and accounting.
Often, non-finance executives have an aversion or even fear of finance and accounting. This stems mainly from lack of familiarity. Years of interaction with non-finance executives has convinced me that if the basics of finance and accounting are explained in a simple and lucid manner, negative feelings turn positive appreciation. This programme seeks to achieve this transformation.
Objectives:
Designed to demystify the field of finance this programme seeks to:
Impart a sound understanding of financial and accounting reports used in business.
Develop skills in applying financial tools and techniques.
Sharpen the finance sense of non-finance executives.
The CFM programme is meant for corporate finance executives, accountants, consultants, financial analysts, and bankers. In addition, it will benefit students of professional programmes and post-graduate courses.
