Course of Study for Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism
The course of study will cover the following subjects, each carrying 100marks.
1.Tourism: its anatomy, history,geography,philosophy, and sociology.
2.Travel Oraganisation: their planning, economics, function and development.
3.Tourism and Economics.
4.India: the tourist destination.
5.Transportaion and Carries.
6.Accomodation and Catering.
7.The Travel Agent.
8.One Foreign Language(French or German). Candidate have to appear in a written examination as well as a viva-voice inforeign language.
Besides the written examination, in the above papers candidates have to prepare a project report on a selected topic and appear for a viva-voice.The project report and the viva-voice carry 100marks each.

Admission Procedure
Eligibility for admission
Admission of these courses will be open to the following:
1.Graduate of any discipline from a recognised University.
2.Those who have passed B.A.(Vocational) examination from Delhi University, and
3.Graduate in any Subject with two years in-service experience, in any aspect of Tourism
The Procedure for admission will be laid down by the college Admission committee.
Duration
The Diploma courses are of two years duration. Classes are held in the evening from 6.00 p.m .to 7.50 p.m. four days a week,(Monday to Thursday) begning 28th August 2006.

Fee Structure
The Following fees shall be charged for each Diploma Course:
1. Tution fee Rs.350/-per month.
2. Library fee Rs. 400/-per annum
3. Library security (refundable) : Rs.300/-
4. Examination fee including marksheet for each regular student payable as per university dates.
5. Development fee :Rs.300/-for each academic year.
