Dual Degree Programme [duration : 5 years/10 semester]
Dual Degree Program is a five year integrated B.Tech. [4 years] and M.Tech. [1 year] Program.The undergraduate component of the dual degree programme is identical to that of the 4-year B.Tech.(EE). This is followed with specialized elective courses in the 7th, 8th and 9th semesters and an intensive Masters thesis in the 9th and 10th semesters. The doctoral programme in Electrical Engineering offers students the possibility of doing intensive research in an area of their choice. We have about 30 students in this programme and it has been our constant endeavour to provide the best facilities and working environment to our research students.

Admission to B.Tech, Dual-Degree and Integrated M.Tech. Programs
1. Admission through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)
Admission to all Undergraduate Programmes (B .Tech.) are made through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The eligibility for appearing for JEE and details about the JEE can be obtained from the JEE website.
2. Cultural Exchange Fellowship Programme
It is administered by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations, Government of India. Scholarship holders are directly nominated by ICCR to the Institute. These students must also satisfy the eligibility criteria for admission under foreign nationals.
3. Casual Studentship
A student who is registered for an Engineering/Technology degree in a recognized Institute/University in India or abroad is eligible for being considered as a casual student at IIT Delhi. He/she should be officially sponsored by the Institute/University where he/she is studying. Such a studentship is granted to carry out research or to avail laboratory or other academic facilities or for attending a formal set of courses, for a maximum period of 6 months/one semester.
