In 1981, by the order of the University of Mumbai, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies was established to meet the growing demand for young managers. The parent body Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal was among the first educational trusts to have realized this need and further the interests of aspiring management students and also meet the needs of the challenging world of business. Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Certification by ICL in 2004. Based on the recommendations of the University Grants Commission and All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has accorded Deemed to be University Status to Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies in January 2003.

There are a large number of competent executives, who, for various reasons, have been unable to pursue a formal education in management, and having now reached a middle-management level, feel the need for honing their management skills for accelerating their career growth. Such executives would be willing to take a one-year break and do a formal program at a reputed institute. There are very few quality programs catering to this niche segment. NMIMS has launched a full-time 15-month executive PGDBM for these middle-level executives with 5+ years of experience in Bengaluru.
The program would be highly rigorous and would ensure learning outcomes superior to the conventional full-time 2-year MBA programs in view of the synergy created by the experience of the executive participants and the rigorous management inputs offered by NMIMS.

A Full course on Business Simulation to develop decision making skills in a live environment
Live 'Capstone' Project during internship mentored by Business Head in the organization and a Faculty (in the final trimester)
