Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), is a constituent of the prestigious Symbiosis International University , SIU .SIHS has conceptualized & implemented a group of professional up-gradation programmes meant to equip the healthcare professional with the appropriate tools in order to survive this age of fierce competition and specialisation. As per the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India Notification No. F.9. 1/2006-U.3 (A) dated 10 November 2006 the Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS) is a constituent of the prestigious Symbiosis International University , SIU .SIHS has conceptualized & implemented a group of professional up-gradation programmes meant to equip the healthcare professional with the appropriate tools in order to survive this age of fierce competition and specialisation. Through its unique, innovative, career oriented programmes, SIHS plans to raise a cadre of professionals who would ensure delivery of optimum health care services.
The SIHS is associated with major tertiary care hospitals of the city to provide the necessary “hands on” clinic & para clinical experience, necessary for the students pursuing these hospital based academic programmes. A formal Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the major private as well as governmental hospitals for the same.

Program Structure
The two year, full time, on-campus MBA (HHC) programme is formatted such that apart from the classroom didactic lectures, students spend a substantial amount of their learning time in various healthcare delivery related set-ups where they are exposed to actual hands on practical training. During the period of study, the student will be required to complete a number of case studies as also complete a thesis pertaining to hospital/healthcare management under the supervision of a guide. The students will participate actively in a number of seminars, workshops and presentations throughout the duration of the programme which will help in developing self confidence and the ability to realize their full potential. The programme content is further enriched by eminent guest faculty, innovative teaching methods and sessions which contribute to all round personality development in addition to academic excellence and practical competencies.

Eligibility:
|
Graduate from any statutory university with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC / ST) marks (or equivalent grades where grades are used) at graduation level. Candidates passing qualifying examinations from open universities, open schools and from distance learning programmes of statutory or deemed universities or in one sitting are not eligible. Students appearing for their final year can apply but their admission will be provisional and subject to obtaining the minimum required marks and fulfilling other eligibility criteria. If such a provisionally admitted student fails in the final year of his/her Degree Examination and even if he/ she has applied for re-evaluation at the university/ college, he/ she will not be allowed to continue the programme as the offer of provisional admission stands automatically cancelled on his/ her failure in the final year examination.

Placements
The SIHS invites selected companies to the campus for placements. Students visit the companies for delivering placement talks and presentations. Companies express their interest in visiting the campus for placement.
Pre-Placement Talk
The selection process generally starts with the ‘Pre-Placement Talk’ (PPT) by the company executives, who give information about the company. This includes activities carried out, organizational structure, volume of business in terms of annual turnover, expansion plans, working culture, training scheme, bond if any, salary structure etc. Questions are invited from the students at the end of the PPT.
Companies may register with us through the placement form enclosed along with the placement brochure or registration can as well be done online through our Website. The resumes of the interested students are sent to the company, on request. The date for final recruitment is scheduled based on mutual understanding between SIHS and the recruiting company. The recruitment is held as per the schedule date. Interested companies can visit the campus for Pre Placement Talks from September - last week onwards.
