A group of professional educationists headed by late (Mrs.) Raj duggal (M.A.,M.Ed., HES) made an intensive survey in the year 1991 to discover the feelings of young girls passing 10th or 10+2 and the difficulties of their parents, especially from middle class families for pursuing career-oriented courses .The survey had revealed that higher secondary schools in and around Faridabad was the only possibility for pursuing further education for the young girls, then.

Savitri Polytechnic for Women on April 16th, 1992 and for a systematic and planned managing of this exclusive woman institution, Raj Duggal Education Society was formed simultaneously for women welfare and empowerment, Over the period of 15 years, Polytechnic has done a creditable work in the area of Teachers' Training & Vocational programmes in association and accreditation with other reputed  organisations. The work done by the polytechnic has been appreciated widely by experts in respective fields and various industries and educational institutions are too, offering job opportunities to successful students.
