Overview


Seneca offers more than an education. 2009-2010 Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship

  • The Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship is designed to recognize students who have shown academic excellence at the high school level and to assist students with financial need.

Scholarship Amounts

  • The amount of your scholarship will be determined based on the information you provide on your application about your financial resources. The maximum scholarship of $3,500 will go to students with high financial need. The minimum scholarship that you can receive is $100. The scholarship cannot exceed your actual tuition plus compulsory fees.

Working On Campus

  • An International student may work on campus without a work permit if they:
  • Are engaged in full time-studies at a public post-secondary institution
  • Have a valid study permit

Working Off Campus

  • An Off Campus work permit authorizes a student to work up to 20 hours per week during regular academic sessions and full time during scheduled breaks, for example winter or summer holidays and spring break.

Medical Coverage & Safety

  • Institutes want students Seneca experience to be as safe and worry-free as possible.Their Basic Medical Coverage begins on the 1st day of the semester, when you are officially enrolled as a full-time (registered in at least 80% of the program semester courses) and ends after the last day of the semester.
  • Please Note: If students are travelling to Canada with a spouse and/or children, it is their responsibility to purchase medical coverage for them.
  • It is the official policy of Seneca College that all employees and students have the right to work and study in a safe environment, free from violence or the threat of violence.

International Student Emergencies

  • The International Student Department also wants to be notified in the event an international student has an emergency. We have a 24 hour Emergency Phone Number to notify International staff and seek their assistance (416-560-8306).
