Overview
TTM Institute of Information Technology (TIIT), a Group Company of Infotech Enterprises Ltd. TIIT has trained more than 900 VLSI professionals. TIIT training program is based on tool set from Cadence Design Systems (I) Pvt. Ltd, the Indian arm of Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS) to offer a certificate program in VLSI design engineering in India for the first time.
Keeping in mind the demand that has spurred the semiconductor industry in India, TIIT , and Cadence Design Systems have decided to work together to come up with a comprehensive training program in VLSI to address the growing demand for skilled VLSI professionals. The training program is backed by world-class technology experts, curriculum, and EDA tools. The main goal of the training program is to provide the semiconductor industry with a skilled work force, and also to provide an opportunity for the existing work force to gain new skills and be part of the growing semiconductor industry in India.

VLSI Certification
Certificate Program in VLSI Design Engineering
TIIT offers a certificate program in VLSI design engineering. Students who complete the required courses with minimum grade point average (GPA) will be awarded a certificate in VLSI design engineering (Physical Design or Logic Design) from TIIT.
Program Overview
Today, VLSI designers are expected perform many tasks pertaining to architecture, design, verification, and simulation in IC design. But today's design engineers are not always equipped to perform these tasks effectively due to lack of training in the above-mentioned areas. Even engineers with advanced degrees in computer science and electrical/electronics engineering lack the appropriate practical knowledge in the VLSI design area.
TIIT's VLSI certificate program addresses the need to train industry engineers. The VLSI certificate program helps both industry veterans who are willing to work in the design space, and also fresh graduates who are entering the field of VLSI design. The program trains engineers in all aspects of IC design, with emphasis on using Cadence's EDA tools and methodologies. The program has two main focus areas, physical design and logic design. Based on interest and background, a student can choose either one of the specializations and pick the course sequence recommended by TIIT.
Certificate Requirements
In order for to receive a Certificate in VLSI Design Engineering, the students must complete 7 core courses. The students are also required to achieve an overall 3.0 GPA for all the core courses.

Prerequisites
BE/BTech/ME/MTech/MSc in either computer science or Electrical/Electronics, experience in a programming language (C, C++) is desirable.
