About Institute

Women’s Christian College was founded on 7th July 1915 as a joint venture of 12 missionary societies from England and USA. In 1916 it was declared a first grade college and was shifted to its present campus on College Road in Nungambakkam located in the heart of Chennai City. It fulfills its mission to provide higher education to women of India in liberal arts and sciences. Women’s Christian College is affiliated to the University of Madras and was given recognition as an autonomous college in 1982. At present it is a state subsidized minority institution following the Choice Based Credit System. It has grown to strength of over 2366 students and 144 members of Faculty in the aided and self-financing sections and 110 members of the non-teaching staff.Women’s Christian College has been reaccredited with 'A' Grade by NAAc in 2005.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

Bachelor of Business Administration is a three years duration course consists of six semesters.The course covers all the related topics of the study field and gives rigorous training to the students.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)

Eligiblity

The college receives applications for admission to the various degrees in MAY - JUNE every year. Admission norms issued by the Government are followed. Applications can be purchased from the Extension counter of Indian Overseas Bank in the college campus or optionally can be downloaded from this page. The downloaded / purchased application duly filled has to be submitted to the College Office for Registration with the due fees as DD or in cash before the prescribed last dates. Application forms will be available in the last week of April 2010.
